Bridging course is a program of study approved by the NMBA (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia) that enables the registration of internationally qualified nurses who do not qualify for registration, by completing further study and assessments against the NMBA’s standards for practice.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT

B.Sc Nursing + (IELTS Academic 7.0 or equivalent /PTE 65+ in each / OET B)

STAGES

1

Application for NMBA Conditional registration. Application preparation, submission and follow-up

Application and course fees for a Bridging course

Apply for a visitor visa with ability to study for 3 months or a Student visa

4

Applicant travels and lives in Australia for the duration of the course

On successful completion of Bridging course, apply for Full registration – AHPRA(Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)

Applicant applies for NMBA registration, followed by Nurse Skills Assessment through ANMAC(Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council)

Application for Skill Select Expression of Interest (EOI). If the applicant has sufficient points to get an invitation for a PR visa, lodge a PR application.

If the applicant does not have sufficient points for Independent skilled migration, they may choose to apply for a state nomination or regional nomination(optional)

Applicant applies for a PR application for self and family members
